@HowardStern and @SternShow v @SIRIUSXM, Recap So Far. #Random1984References
Is SiriusXM turning Studio 69 in to Room 101?
Here is a recap of some of the Stern clips and commentary chronicling Howard’s growing frustration and opposition to his bosses at Sirius XM. Also included are a few peripheral commentaries that may further illuminate the situation.
Howard’s latest Monday morning blowup may have nothing to do with this situation; my hunch is that it does. The new microphone that Howard is being forced to use (by circumstance or budget restriction?) appears to him to be a deathtrap.
Studio 69 was built for Howard by Sirius back in 2005. This is a meticulous replica of the most recent set design; it’s constructed in miniature, out of paper
Of all the Staff side projects, none is as big a gamble as Howard on Americ’s Got Talent. Here is post from a few weeks back when Howard’s new show hit number one.
The Sacha Baron Cohen interview from last month included stories of overzealous management. Pertinent to this post is Cohen’s account of how an executive at Fox, in an attempt to control Cohen’s vision, almost destroyed the film Borat.
This clip sums up Howard’s rage without giving any hint to the cause. During a commercial break Howard received “devastating news.” He begins to talk over The Who, saying “I’ve had it here” before letting the song play out while attempting to compose himself.
The complete lack of cross promotion on the Sirius end for Howard’s new show shows what Robin called a “irresponsible” level of ignorance to a smart business decision.
Lastly, the first post to this site features and amazingly eloquent, typically angry Philadelphia Stern fan. He expresses just how much he wants to see Howard call the Sirius bluff and quit so that he and the rest of the fans can leave Sirius en mass and sink them the way they sunk CBS Radio back in 2006.

For Inner Party members:
Howard thought he made a deal that would free him of Big Brother but he ended up with O’Brian.
Ok, it’s not that dramatic, after all Sirius made a deal with Howard that transferred a lot of wealth his way, allegedly anyway. However, from where things are now, no one can even recall the happier times. Rumors abound on Reddit.com/r/HowardStern that Sirius is about to undergo a change of ownership. Many suspect that the new owners would find Howard’s contract undesirable. His staff is throwing out lifelines in every direction, ostensibly, to create fall back possibilities.
